Leaf Solution is so proud of our very own Forest Adams taking 1st PLACE at the Tri-City Kart Club in Richland, Washington hosted the 7th annual Saturday Night Shootout. This Go-kart race has evolved from a club race to now a “must attend” event for many in the PNW. 2021 broke the record for most participants vs 2019. This premier event drew participants ranging ages from 5 to 50+ from surrounding states like Idaho, California, Oregon to name a few.
Forest was registered to race in the TAG Cadet class level with ages 7-12 race on 2-stroke engines at speeds exceeding 60mph plus. He faced against 8 other regional racers including several championship-winning drivers from other states. He began the weekend qualifying his kart in 4th position on Friday Night. A couple of laps later Forest made a pass again for 2nd place shuffling the leader from 1st to 3rd position and started to focus on how to take the lead. As Forest pressured the leader the crowd in the grandstands started to chant “Go Forest Go” and even snuck a few “Run Forest Run” for good humor… suddenly a loud roar from the crowd erupted as fans jumped to their feet as he made a crazy risky pass stick going into Turn 4. The nerves of the parents were completely gone, fellow racers, families, and friends all stood out of their seats and pressed up against the fence as the final laps unfolded. Forest was hard at work trying to keep two fast drivers behind him as they fought for positions. The white flag came out and Forest darted across the front straight to cover the inside to make it that much harder for his opponents. As he rounded the final corner it was clear he was going to be the back-to-back winner of the Saturday Night Shootout! As he crossed the finish line the crowd was so loud no one could hear the announcers play by play, but as he threw up his hands in celebration he knew he just had won a ticket to Rok Cup USA’s Final race of 2021 held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas!
